Studying CT use in the emergency department
Drs. Booker and Johnson studied whether feedback to emergency clinicians changed the use of CT pulmonary angiography. Their 2017 paper reports the results of this quality improvement effort.

Read the study on PubMed →Dr. Schechter co-authored a 2011 Scripps Mercy study of repeat head CT after blunt trauma in patients taking anticoagulant or antiplatelet medication. The study examined delayed bleeding after an initially negative scan.
Dr. Cooper’s medical illustrations have appeared in RadioGraphics, the Radiological Society of North America’s education journal. His work includes the cover of its 2014 cardiothoracic imaging monograph.
